Russia has committed ‘wide range of war crimes’ in Ukraine

A UN-led inquiry has found Russia has committed a wide range of war crimes in Ukraine.

These include torture, killing civilians outside of combat and deporting children, the report said.

The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine said Russian forces have carried out “indiscriminate and disproportionate” attacks and failed to take measures to safeguard the Ukrainian population.

Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russia of war crimes, but it is a major step for an inquiry to come this conclusion.
