
On the afternoon of July 24, Russia launched a ballistic missile attack on a private test site in the Kyiv region, killing 10 people and injuring almost 100.
According to preliminary information, the strike was carried out on the territory of a private test site where events were taking place. This information is currently being carefully verified. All emergency and operational services of Ukraine were working at the sites of the strikes.
According to the founder of the defense products manufacturer First Contact Valery Borovik, Russia launched a missile strike on a test site where the Defense Demo Day & Defense Expo arms exhibition was taking place.
“The strike is very serious. Most likely, it was specifically for a certain event. Unfortunately, we have casualties and destruction.
According to the report of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko, Russia launched a missile strike on the Kyiv region. 10 people died, about 100 more people were injured to varying degrees of severity.
In connection with this war crime, the Prosecutor General’s Office is conducting procedural management in criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding possible improper performance of official duties during the organization and holding of the event, which led to the death of people and other serious consequences. War does not exempt from responsibility for management decisions. On the contrary, it requires maximum professionalism, caution and awareness of each step.
The investigation will establish who made the decision to hold the event, who agreed on the place, time and format of its holding, what security measures were provided for and whether the risks in martial law conditions were properly assessed.
