On June 30, Russian forces launched airstrikes on the Sumy community with modified air bombs. The attack injured at least 12 civilians, five of whom were hospitalized.

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, as of 3:00 p.m., 12 civilians had sought medical attention. Five of the injured are in hospitals — a woman and four men. The rest have received the necessary assistance and are undergoing outpatient treatment.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Russian air bombs caused several hits. The greatest destruction was recorded at an infrastructure facility. During emergency rescue operations, rescuers found two people on the upper floors of the damaged building.

The most difficult operation was to rescue a woman who was crushed by large concrete slabs. Despite the threat of repeated Russian strikes, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, using special equipment, rescued the victim and handed her over to medics.
