Russia launches massive ballistic missile strike on Kyiv: people killed, houses and warehouses on fire

On the night of August 1, Russia launched a massive ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. As a result of the shelling, damage to residential buildings was recorded in several districts of the capital, fires broke out, and there were also deaths and injuries.

Several buildings in Kyiv are blocked by hits. Rescuers continue emergency rescue operations.

As of the morning of August 1, they managed to rescue 105 people from buildings damaged as a result of the night attack on Kyiv.

The consequences of the shelling were recorded in Solomyanskyi, Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Pecherskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. After the strikes, power went out in parts of the city.

In Solomyanskyi district, a fire broke out in a six-story non-residential building, cars were burning in the parking lot, and as a result of falling rocket fragments, people were trapped in a five-story building.

In Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, fragments fell on the territory of non-residential buildings, and in Darnytskyi warehouses also caught fire.

In Shevchenkivskyi district, residents were trapped due to the partial destruction of the first and second floors of a residential building, in addition, a fire broke out at a car wash, in a non-residential building, and in the territory of a film studio – all fires were later extinguished.

In Pecherskyi district, four private houses and outbuildings were damaged, and in Dniprovskyi district, a store was damaged.
