Russia left part of Odesa without electricity, 6 people injured

Six people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Odesa, which occurred on the night of January 13. Residential buildings, educational institutions were damaged in the city, and windows in the hospital were broken. In addition, two energy facilities were damaged, as a result of which some areas of Odesa were left without electricity.

The Russian army began attacking Odesa closer to midnight. Attack drones flew in two waves, and it was during the second attack that night that residential buildings in the very center of Odesa were damaged.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked on the ground. People were in different emotional states, so they were provided with assistance. 65 rescuers from the State Emergency Service worked at night, and representatives of the municipal institution of the city council also helped us,” Marina Averina, a spokeswoman for the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Odesa region, commented on the situation with the elimination of the consequences of the attack.

A heating station and an operational headquarters have been set up for residents of the affected apartments to provide assistance. Broken windows are being covered with foil to preserve heat, as the temperature outside is -7 degrees.

In addition to residential buildings, a lyceum and kindergartens, a fitness club were damaged. Local residents’ cars were also damaged. An amusement park located near Langeron was also damaged. Slot machines were damaged there. In addition, two energy facilities in the city were damaged due to the Russian attack, which left some areas of the city without power.
