Russia set fire to a city in the Sumy region: there are casualties

As a result of shelling, the administration building was destroyed.

In the afternoon, on July 17, Russian troops struck the center of the city of Bilopylla in the Sumy region. As a result of the impact, there are injured and dead. This is reported by the press service of the Sumy regional military administration: “Today, from 12:35 to 12:39, an artillery shelling (three explosions) was carried out in the area in the direction of the city of Bilopylla.”

As a result of shelling, the administration building was destroyed. As a result of the attack, there are dead and wounded. Their number is being specified. The wounded are provided with prompt medical assistance.

As reported by Bilopylla city chairman Yuriy Zarko, as of 3:00 p.m., it is known that 76-year-old and 74-year-old women, who were on the street at that time, died as a result of their injuries.

At least 10 people were injured, two wounded were taken to a hospital in Sumy in a serious condition. So far, we know about 6 injured employees of the State Emergency Service. All of them are hospitalized.

Bilopylla, which is located only 7 kilometers from the border with the Russian Federation, is regularly attacked by the Russian military.

The 509th day of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues. Tonight, the Russian Federation launched another air and missile attack on Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this attack is being clarified. During the past 24 hours, the Russian army launched 11 missile and 49 airstrikes, carried out 48 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. As a result, civilians were injured, residential buildings, commercial and administrative buildings, as well as private motor vehicles were damaged.
