Russia Strikes American Enterprise in Ukraine

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Russia has struck another blow against an American business operating in Ukraine.

According to Sybiga, the target was a civilian production facility owned or associated with an American company.

The minister stressed that such attacks are unacceptable, as they damage civilian infrastructure and pose a threat to the people of Ukraine, including workers and local communities. This is a civilian Mondelez production facility in the Trostyanets province – one of the first major US investments in Ukraine’s independent economy.

The missile hit one of the production buildings. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

This is not a military target, but a plant that has been operating since the 1990s, produces world-famous brands, employs Ukrainians, and contributes to our and the American economy.

The Ukrainian authorities continue to document the facts of the destruction for international partners.

Russian shelling of targets in Ukraine has previously affected foreign investment facilities or adjacent civilian enterprises, which has no military significance.
