Russia strikes Chernihiv: part of the city is without power

As a result of Russian shelling, an important energy facility in the Chernihiv region was damaged. On the evening of December 23, the Russian military attacked Chernihiv again. After a drone strike in the city, an important energy facility was damaged. Part of Chernihiv was left without electricity.

This was reported by the Chernihiv City Council and the ChernihivOblenergo company. “A Russian drone hit the city. A critical infrastructure facility is under attack,” the city council said in a statement.

The ChernihivOblenergo company noted that as a result of Russian shelling, an important energy facility in the Chernihiv region was damaged. As a result of the strike, part of the city of Chernihiv was without power. The head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynsky, also reported on the Russian attack: “A fire broke out at the scene. No people were injured.”
