Russia strikes foreign-owned enterprise in Zhytomyr

On September 22, Russian troops struck a foreign-invested enterprise within the Zhytomyr community—a facility that had previously suffered from Russian attacks. A massive fire broke out at the impact site. According to Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Russia continues its terror campaign by targeting civilian infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region. On September 22, Russian forces once again struck a foreign-invested enterprise in the Zhytomyr community that had already been hit by earlier shelling.

There were no fatalities or injuries. Emergency services and specialists are currently on-site, addressing the aftermath of the strike and documenting the damage.

An air raid alert was issued for the Zhytomyr district at 16:24. Shortly before this, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had warned of a jet-powered drone moving toward Zhytomyr. According to local channels, the Kromberg & Schubert plant in Zhytomyr was hit. The factory manufactures electrical cable systems for vehicles from global brands, including Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche.
