Russia strikes high-rise building in Chernihiv with drone

On the afternoon of August 24, Russian troops struck Chernihiv. The strike hit a high-rise building. A fire broke out at the site of the strike. Rescue work is currently underway at the site of the strike.

Rescuers extinguished the fire after a Russian drone struck a high-rise building in Chernihiv. 20 people are already known to have been injured. Among them are two children, 12 and 17 years old. A 17-year-old girl and an elderly woman were hospitalized – she is in serious condition. 18 more people were treated by doctors – all of them are being treated as outpatients.

Police explosives technicians assume that the aggressor used a Geranium-5 drone.

In addition to the nine-story building, approximately 20 vehicles were previously damaged.
