On the evening of March 3, Russian drones attacked Odessa, causing damage to energy infrastructure, private homes, and a business center. Local residents were injured as a result of the strike, emergency power outages occurred in parts of the city, and boiler rooms were temporarily suspended.
Utilities quickly launched generators to support critical infrastructure and opened additional invulnerability points. In addition, drone debris and blast waves damaged two private homes and a business center. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, and the chairman of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov.
Four people were injured as a result of the attack. Three residents of private homes suffered shrapnel wounds and fractures, and were hospitalized in moderate condition. Another person who was in the business center received a concussion.
Rescuers extinguished several fires that broke out after the shelling. According to the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, three boiler houses temporarily stopped working, but they have already been connected to the power supply, and the city’s heat supply has been restored.
After the night attack by Russian drones on Odessa, local residents are clearing away the rubble. The destruction in several parts of the city is extensive. As a result of the Russian attack, private houses were badly damaged: not only windows but also doors were broken. Some houses were almost completely destroyed after the strikes. In some places, the rubble is so strong that people cannot get into their destroyed apartments.
