Russia strikes residential building in Odesa: 8 dead and destruction

According to the State Emergency Service: On the morning of April 16, the Russians struck a multi-story residential building in Odesa, killing 8 people and wounding 16. The shelling caused a fire and significant damage, including the complete destruction of some apartments.

Rescuers are working at the scene, performing their duties in extremely difficult conditions. All fires that arose as a result of the shelling were quickly extinguished by rescuers. In addition, other facilities were also damaged by the night attack, including: residential buildings; a port infrastructure facility; warehouses.

The blast wave broke out windows in three five-story dormitories. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service are working at the scene to help the victims.
