Private houses and non-residential premises destroyed in Sumy community at night, rescuers

A large-scale fire broke out in Sumy region after the Russian strike, one person was injured.

On the night of November 16, Russian troops struck one of the villages of the Sumy community, damaging the residential infrastructure. The State Emergency Service reported this.

According to preliminary data, one person was injured. As a result of the explosion and shrapnel, the private sector and one non-residential premises were damaged.

The State Emergency Service specifies that a large-scale fire broke out after the strike. Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. Destruction of buildings and damage to the property of local residents are recorded.

Medics, police and explosives technicians are working at the scene.

Sumy region is under systematic shelling. The Russian Federation regularly strikes border communities using artillery, drones, and guided munitions. On the night of November 16, the attack was again directed at the civilian sector, with no military facilities nearby.
