On the morning of January 18, Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia with ballistic weapons. The attack resulted in destruction, damaged buildings, and injured people.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Two people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. The Russians struck the center of the regional center,” Fedorov said at 06:54.
He specified that the Russian attack partially destroyed the administrative building of one of the industrial facilities. In addition, residential buildings and private transport were damaged.
Later, as of 07:26, it became known that the number of victims in Zaporizhzhia had increased to 6.
“One woman is in serious condition. Two more women and three men are in moderate condition. All victims are in hospital. Medics are providing the necessary assistance,” the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration wrote.
He added that five ambulance teams were working at the scene of the hits.
At around 8:30, the number of victims increased to 8 people.
“One woman is in serious condition,” Fedorov noted.
Later, it became known that a 63-year-old man was killed and 12 people aged 20 to 69 were injured during the missile attack. Another man is considered missing. His fate is being determined by the police.
