Russia struck the building of Sumy University: a children’s performance was planned there

On April 13, Russia struck a deadly blow to Sumy. Among the destroyed civilian objects in the city center from a targeted strike was the building of Sumy University.

There was a children’s performance planned there that day.

The children’s performance was to take place in the premises of the congress center of Sumy State University.

The city’s young residents were invited to watch the performance “The Capricious Princess” – a musical fairy tale about love.

It was scheduled for 11:00, and the explosion in Sumy occurred at 10:17, and a few minutes later – a second one.

As a result of the strike, the buildings of Sumy State University were destroyed, which housed the regional Center for Human Rights Protection – the representative office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported. Cultural and artistic events were regularly held in the congress center of the educational institution.
