During January, due to the threat of Russian airstrikes on Kyiv, the city was on air alert 60 times, which amounts to more than 60 hours of danger for residents of the capital and its guests.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
“During January, the Russians carried out 13 attacks with kamikaze drones and 1 missile strike. Unfortunately, these attacks cost the lives of civilians in Kyiv. In a month, 5 people died from Russian attacks and falling debris, and 7 more were injured,” Tkachenko wrote.
According to him, the Russian strikes caused destruction in almost all districts of the city. In particular, in Darnytskyi district, damage to various civilian infrastructure was recorded three times, in Holosiivskyi, Desnianskyi, Pecherskyi, Solomyanskyi – 2 times each, in Dniprovskyi, Svyatoshynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi – 1 time each. At the same time, as the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration noted, in addition to missile and drone attacks, the Russians are trying to destabilize the city using other methods. Thus, in January alone, Kyiv received 940 reports of mining, of which 785 – in one day.
