On May 1, Russian troops attacked the town of Hirnyk in the Donetsk region with artillery. Two local residents died.
This was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
“A residential building was targeted by the occupiers, where a 57-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man, whose body was found in the garage, received life-threatening injuries,” the message reads.
As a result of the Russian shelling, six more townspeople, aged from 46 to 77, were injured of varying degrees of severity.
“Doctors diagnosed them with mine-explosive and craniocerebral injuries, as well as shrapnel wounds and contusions. Currently, the victims are being provided with qualified assistance,” added the prosecutor’s office.
In addition, residential buildings and farm buildings were damaged in the settlement.
