Russian artillery shelled the Kherson regional museum of local lore

On the night of December 10, Russian artillery again attacked the Kherson regional museum of local lore. The shelling damaged the premises that previously housed large museum exhibits, the lapidary and the amphora hall.

The museum itself reported this.

The museum recalled that in just three weeks of November, the main building of the museum had already suffered serious damage due to massive shelling by the Russians.

The Russians continue to purposefully destroy Kherson — its history, houses, and civilians. Kherson and the museum need protection! — the museum added.

During the occupation by Russian troops, the Russians and their accomplices stole about 23,000 museum items from the Kherson Regional Museum of Local Lore.
