On the morning of May 12, Russian troops launched an artillery strike on the village of Belozerka in the Kherson region. A child was injured.
As a result of a Russian shell hitting a residential building, a 10-year-old girl was trapped under the rubble of a destroyed dwelling. She was in the house at the time of the strike.
Rescuers managed to free the child – she was handed over to doctors. She received explosive and craniocerebral injuries, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to her legs.
Under the procedural leadership of the Oleshkiv District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kherson region, a pre-trial investigation into the fact of a war crime has been launched.
