Russian attack on kindergarten in Sumy: death toll rises to two, seven injured

In Sumy, rescuers have unblocked another body from under the rubble of a kindergarten hit by Russian drones on May 6. Seven people were injured.

This was reported by the Sumy regional prosecutor’s office.

“The body of another deceased kindergarten employee was unblocked from under the rubble. The woman was 45 years old,” the report says.

Under the procedural leadership of the Sumy regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of committing war crimes that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, informed that about 10 Russian UAVs were recorded during the morning attack. The Defense Forces managed to destroy some of the drones. Two drones hit a preschool building.

Two employees of the institution were killed. They were 48 and 45 years old.

Seven more people were injured. They were provided with the necessary assistance.

A 52-year-old woman remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
