
A Russian court has sentenced Artem Malyshev to 27 years in a maximum security colony, with the first five years to be served in prison and a fine of 700,000 rubles.
This was reported by the Russian Southern District Military Court.
The Russians accused the man of allegedly agreeing to work for the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine and joining a “terrorist” community from August to November 2022.
According to the Russian version, in the fall of 2022, Malyshev allegedly arrived in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, where he received an improvised explosive device. And in June 2023, he allegedly attached it to the bottom of the car of the Russian head of the road maintenance department of the Zaporizhzhia region highways department. The explosive device was discovered and defused by the Russians. The Russians detained Artem Malyshev on July 5, 2023.
