
On February 1, Russian troops launched a drone strike on a work bus carrying miners after a shift at a company in the Dnipropetrovsk region, DTEK and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.
“Currently, 15 miners are known to have died. According to preliminary information, seven miners were also injured,” DTEK reported.
The Dnipropetrovsk region police clarified that the attack occurred near the city of Ternivka, Pavlohrad district. Shmyhal added that it occurred near the Ternivska mine.
“Investigative and operational police groups are recording the consequences of the shelling, collecting physical evidence and documenting another war crime by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Ukraine,” law enforcement officials noted.
