In Zaporizhzhia region of June 16, Russian drones again attacked an underground school in Komyshuvakha.
At the time of the strike, administration employees were in shelters — in particular, teachers, accountants, and other staff who ensure the functioning of the community. Russian FPV drones of the Lancet type hit a bus used by civilians, which effectively deprived people of the opportunity to leave the danger zone on their own.
The situation in the area of the school remained extremely tense — the area was under intense shelling. Police cars were also nearby, and about ten drone attacks were recorded over several hours.
Due to the threat, people asked for help with evacuation. Due to the high risk, it was decided to use armored vehicles.
A team of volunteers responded promptly to the request and was able to take civilians out of the shelling zone. The evacuation was carried out in the evening, when the danger was only increasing. According to eyewitnesses, people were in a state of severe stress and panic. Among the evacuees were mainly women, as well as employees of the educational and administrative sectors.
