On the night of July 23 the Russian military struck the railway energy infrastructure in Poltava and Sumy regions.
This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
The objects that ensure the stable operation of railway transport came under fire. As a result of the attack, energy equipment was damaged, however, according to official information, there were no casualties.
“This night, the energy infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia was subjected to a targeted attack by Russian strike drones. Fortunately, no one was injured,” the company noted.
Power supply has already been restored to most of the damaged areas. Where the destruction was more significant, repair teams continue to work. Despite the difficult situation, passenger and freight trains continue to run on schedule.
Ukrzaliznytsia called on citizens to remain calm and trust only official sources of information.
