On November 12, the Russian army attacked two districts of Kharkiv with drones. Two people were injured at the site of one of the flights, reported the head of the regional military administration Oleg Synegubov.
Women aged 50 and 53 were injured at the place of arrival in the Saltiv district, they have an acute reaction to stress and light shrapnel wounds.
A Russian drone damaged an electric pole and windows in nearby high-rise buildings.
Later, Sinegubov informed about the second strike of the occupiers – the UAV exploded in the Slobid district of Kharkiv. An 11-story residential building was affected there.
As a result of the impact, the apartment on the eighth floor of the high-rise building suffered the greatest damage. A 60-year-old woman was in the apartment – she was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
Windows and balconies are broken in the apartments around. As a result of the impact of the drone, the water supply was also damaged – several floors were flooded with hot water, according to the report.
Kharkiv region borders Russia, and the second most populous city of Ukraine – Kharkiv – is located only 40 km from the border with the Russian Federation.
The Russians attack the region every day with various types of weapons, including missiles, drones and aerial bombs. Part of the territory is under occupation. In the summer of 2024, the authorities estimated the damage caused to Kharkiv by the Russians at $10 billion. As of July, approximately 4,500 residential buildings were damaged in the city.
