Russian propaganda spreads fakes about Ukraine’s plans to use banned weapons in the Kursk region. This may indicate that the Russians are preparing a chemical weapons provocation to accuse Ukraine.
Russian propaganda has begun to actively produce fakes about the alleged plans of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to use prohibited weapons in the Kursk region. According to Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Political Analysis, an officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, such actions of Russian propaganda may indicate that Russian special services are preparing provocations with chemical weapons to accuse Ukraine, UNN reports.
“The Russians may be preparing a provocation with chemical weapons, as they are spreading reports about Ukraine’s alleged use of such weapons right now. Ukraine does not use prohibited weapons, acts in a civilized manner, and protects Russian civilians in the Kursk region from Russian shelling. However, Russia needs victims among its civilians to blame Ukraine. Therefore, they are ready to kill their own people, as the FSB has already done with the hands of ISIS in Crocus City Hall,” Kovalenko said.
According to him, due to the lack of real evidence, since there is no violence, the Russians are now focusing on the story of the allegedly shot pregnant woman, using the same strategy as in 2014, at the beginning of the invasion of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
“Now Russia is using creative agencies and theater studios funded under closed articles of the Russian Defense Ministry to produce content from the allegedly “occupied territories of Ukraine,” emphasized the head of the Center for Public Policy.
Earlier, the Center repeatedly recorded the spread of fake videos featuring the alleged Ukrainian military. The Krylia studio, affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense, was involved in the production of such videos.
