Russian forces continue to attack Kyiv: partial power outages and water supply disruptions reported

Following a Russian attack on the evening of October 7, emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv and the surrounding region. Power outages affecting some water pumping stations on the capital’s Right Bank have also led to disruptions in the water supply.

According to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, the power supply issues may be linked to damage to energy infrastructure caused by the attack.

DTEK confirmed that emergency outages were implemented in Kyiv and the Kyiv region on the orders of Ukrenergo; during these outages, standard scheduled power cut schedules do not apply.

Klitschko reported that power issues have partially disabled Kyiv’s water pumping stations, resulting in water supply disruptions on the city’s Right Bank.

Russian troops attacked Kyiv on the evening of October 7. Eight people were injured in the attack in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, with two requiring hospitalization.
