The Russians plan to close at least seven medical facilities in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. The occupiers are agitating local residents to leave for the Russian Federation.
Yurii Sobolevskyi, the first deputy chairman of the Kherson Regional Council, announced this during the briefing.
“I have information about the possible closure of seven medical facilities in the occupied territories. They will either be transferred or repurposed into military hospitals. They will be transferred mainly to Novotroitskyi and Henichesk. In addition, they must transfer all the so-called state communal institutions from the 15-kilometer zones from the Dnipro to Henichesky, Skadovsky districts. Unfortunately, the humanitarian situation in the occupied territories is deteriorating significantly. Our people’s access to medical services is limited. In addition, a strong “campaign” continues for people to get Russian passports and leave the territory of the Russian Federation,” Sobolevsky noted.
Only in the last three days, as a result of Russian shelling, ten residents of Kherson were injured. The people of Kherson do not have time to hide in shelters because the occupiers are hitting from a distance of 15-20 kilometers.
This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevskyi.
Wounded in Kherson
According to Yuriy Sobolevskyi, over the last three days, Russian shells and rockets wounded ten residents of Kherson, which was liberated in November.
“There are serious [injuries], now doctors are working to save lives,” stated the representative of the regional government of the region.
Sobolevsky emphasized that after stabilization of the condition of such patients, they try to evacuate them as quickly as possible to safer regions, where they will be provided with final medical care.
Why Kherson people are under attack
Yuriy Sobolevsky spoke about the details of the Russian shelling.
The occupiers are using salvo missile systems, artillery and mortar systems to attack Kherson and the right-bank part of the Kherson region.
Strikes are made from a very close distance, 15-20 kilometers.
“The time from the moment of departure to the arrival is very short: there is practically no time for people to react in order to go to shelter,” explained the losses among the local population in Kherson, the first deputy head of the Kherson Regional Council.
We will remind that on January 20, the Russian occupying forces once again massively shelled the right-bank territory of the Kherson region. 36 shelling of the part of the region liberated from the Russians was recorded.
The occupiers hit the peaceful towns and villages of the Kherson region with artillery, mortars, and rocket salvo systems. The regional center was also affected. Russian troops shelled Kherson 11 times. Residential quarters of the city were hit. Damage to residential buildings was recorded.
As a result of the shelling, two people were injured. Among them is a 15-year-old teenager.
Two more people were blown up on the right bank of the Kherson region by a Russian mine.
In the village of Nova Kamianka (Myliv community, Kherson region) during the occupation, the Russians looted the farm.
This was reported by the Kherson region police. The invaders stole a tractor, a forklift and a minibus.
The Russian invaders also dismantled agricultural machinery for spare parts and stole more than 900 liters of diesel fuel. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Earlier it was reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed an enemy boat near Kherson.
The Russians again shelled the Kherson region, as a result of which a man died in the village of Antonivka, who at that time was in the yard of his own house.
This was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Yaroslav Yanushevich.
“Russian shells hit a building in the village of Antonivka. Fragments of shells not only broke windows and mutilated walls – a man died in the yard,” he said.
According to him, the man was killed by a fragment of an enemy projectile.
We will remind you that on January 20, the Russian occupiers shelled two settlements in the Kherson region. There are victims. A 15-year-old boy was wounded during an artillery attack on the village of Antonivka.
On January 19, the occupiers once again shelled the liberated territory in the Kherson region and hit a police car, as a result of which one of the law enforcement officers was fatally wounded. Four others were seriously injured.
Russian occupying forces do not stop looting in the temporarily occupied territories. In the settlements of Gornostaivka, Kairy, Bratolyubivka, and Nizhny Sirogozy of the Kherson region, the occupiers, moving in groups of 10-15 people, search the empty homes of local residents and take away all household appliances and furniture.
At the beginning of January of this year, investigators of the regional police headquarters of the Kherson Region sent an indictment to the court against two 58-year-old men. The perpetrators, who took leadership positions in the occupation authorities of Nova Kakhovka, are accused of committing crimes for violating the laws and customs of war based on a prior conspiracy by a group of people to commit illegal actions against the civilian population. The other day, the investigators informed one of the suspects that he was suspected of committing another similar crime.
According to Chermen Tuskayev, the deputy head of the investigative department of the Kherson region police, the suspect is a 58-year-old resident of Donetsk, who holds the position of so-called “adviser to the head of the DPR” in Nova Kakhovka and manages an illegal armed formation that is part of the Russian army. Earlier, the investigation proved that he was involved in the illegal detention and imprisonment of a media representative and the chairman of Tavriysk.
Also, employees of the investigative department of the regional police headquarters established that the perpetrator was involved in another similar incident. It is currently known that on March 16 of last year, in the premises of the Novokakhovsk City Council, on the instructions of the person involved, the Russian military illegally detained the secretary of the local authority, who refused to cooperate with the occupiers. The man was taken in handcuffs to a cold basement, where he was kept in conditions exhausting for the human body until April 30. During the illegal imprisonment, the victim was constantly subjected to psychological violence and moral pressure in order to force him to cooperate with the occupation authorities.
Currently, according to this fact, the investigative department of the regional police headquarters of the Kherson region is conducting a pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. That is, issuing an order to commit other violations of the laws and customs of war provided for by international treaties, the binding consent of which was given by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The extra person was informed in absentia about the suspicion of committing this crime. Procedural management in the pre-trial investigation is carried out by employees of the prosecutor’s office of the Kherson region. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years.
