Russian troops attacked the Sumy region of Ukraine with mortars, artillery and UAVs, causing a total of 86 explosions in various settlements.
During the day of November 23, the Russian military carried out 18 shelling of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy region. 86 explosions were recorded. This was reported in the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
The communities of Sumy Region were under fire:
- Krasnopil community: the Russian army attacked with mortars (23 explosions) and fired with LNG (1 explosion).
- Shalyginsk community: there were mortar attacks (7 explosions) and artillery fire (2 explosions).
- Bilopol community: the Russian military dropped a VOG from an unmanned aerial vehicle (1 explosion) and shelled the community from an AGS (20 explosions).
- Velykopysarivsk community: an attack by two FPV drones (2 explosions) was recorded, and there was also mortar shelling (4 explosions).
- Khotyn community: the Russian military dropped 2 mines on the territory of the community.
- Myropil community: aerial bombardment was carried out from a helicopter with NURS missiles (10 explosions).
- Znob-Novgorod community: mortar shelling (10 explosions) was recorded.
- Yunakiv community: the Russian army dropped VOG from BpLA (4 explosions).
During November 22, 17 shelling of the border territories of Sumy Oblast were recorded. There were 54 explosions. 11 communities came under Russian fire.
On the night and morning of November 23, the Russians launched 6 mortar attacks in the Sumy region. 17 explosions were recorded, the military administration reported.
