Russian missile penetrates all floors of nine-story building in Solomianskyі district

A Russian missile, hitting a building in the Solomianskyі district of Kyiv, passed through all floors down to the basement, so rescue services will lift large structures of the destroyed entrance to search for people under the rubble.

This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko during a broadcast from the Solomiansky district of the capital.

“The nine-story building collapsed to the level of one and a half to two floors. The missile passed through all floors and down to the basement. Therefore, there are large structures that we will now lift in order to say exactly how many people are under the rubble,” the minister said.

Klymenko informed that rescue services went through all the apartments for the second time to establish whether there are any injured residents of the building.

“We have already rescued several people – including elderly people who were buried under debris. We got them out from under this rubble. Rescue dogs and equipment are working, we are listening for any other sounds in order to come to the rescue in time,” he said.
