
On July 30, 2024, around 6:00 a.m., the armed forces of the Russian Federation fired artillery at Chornobayivka, Kherson district.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, 38 private residential buildings, two farm buildings, power lines, four vehicles and other objects of civil infrastructure were damaged and destroyed due to the Russian shelling.
Two local residents – a 17-year-old girl and a 32-year-old man – sought medical help.
A rescuer of the Special Emergency Rescue Squad received a shrapnel wound.
Prosecutors, together with police investigators, collected evidence and documented the next war crimes of the Russian Federation. Under the procedural leadership of the Oleshkiv District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kherson Region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that the Russian military had fired more than 20 shells at Chornobayivka.
