On October 12, a production complex belonging to the confectionery corporation ROSHEN in Vinnytsia was damaged in a Russian attack. Timely alerts and evacuation ensured the safety of the employees.
The company also refuted claims circulated by Russian sources alleging that drones were being manufactured at its facilities. It emphasized that it produces only food products and that the damaged complex is a civilian facility.
ROSHEN is one of Ukraine’s largest confectionery manufacturers, founded by Petro Poroshenko. The corporation comprises eight factories and plants across Ukraine, Lithuania, and Hungary. Two confectionery production sites and a dairy plant—which supplies raw materials to the corporation’s factories—are located in Vinnytsia.
ROSHEN emphasized that attacks on food industry facilities endanger workers’ lives, lead to job losses, and disrupt production.
The corporation called for an investigation into the Russian strike and for a legal assessment of the actions of those responsible.
