Russian strike on Kramatorsk: one person killed, 16 injured, including four children

Russian troops carried out another shelling of a peaceful settlement in eastern Ukraine. As a result of the Russian attack on Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, one person was killed and 16 local residents were injured, including four children.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers struck the private sector of the city. Among the injured are four children who received injuries of varying severity.

“At least 17 private houses were damaged. A rescue operation is underway. The necessary specialized services are working at the scene,” the department reported.

According to preliminary data, the shelling caused significant destruction of civilian infrastructure. State Emergency Service rescuers, doctors and police continue to work at the scene of the tragedy. They are clearing the rubble, providing first aid to the victims and documenting the consequences of another Russian war crime.

The exact number of victims and the extent of the damage are currently being clarified. Local authorities are urging residents to follow safety rules and, if possible, take shelter during air raids.

As a reminder, Kramatorsk is regularly targeted by Russian forces. The city is located in the Ukrainian part of the Donetsk region and is of strategic importance, being an important industrial and transport hub in the region.
