Russian troops again carried out airstrikes on Kharkiv and its suburbs, two people were killed, 12 were injured

Under the procedural leadership of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the facts of violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on August 31, at approximately 14:40-14:50, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out airstrikes on Kharkiv and its suburbs.

In the village of Cherkaska Lozova, two 41-year-old women died as a result of shelling. Eleven more people were injured, including a 14-year-old girl. Residential buildings and cars were destroyed and damaged in the village. There was a fire.

A 22-year-old woman was injured as a result of an airstrike near the village of Kam’yana Yaruga, Chuguyiv district.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv, an aircraft munition was hit in a forest strip. No casualties.

Prosecutors and police investigators are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by the Russian military.
