Russian troops are changing the ethnic and mental composition of the Zaporizhzhia region

Russian troops are changing the ethnic and mental composition of the Zaporizhzhia region so that people do not have thoughts of resistance. The chairman of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov announced this on September 14.

“The Russians want to establish “Russia forever” in the temporarily occupied territories. They deport, intimidate and squeeze the local population.

After a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops seized part of the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. On February 26, 2022, after battles with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troops entered the 150,000-strong Melitopol.

The Russian Federation could not take the regional center of Zaporizhzhia. Therefore, they decided to make Melitopol the “capital” of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and held a pseudo-referendum there on the “accession” of the region to the Russian Federation.

Russians in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region continue to take houses and apartments from local residents

The chairman of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, said that Russians in the occupied territories continue to take houses and apartments from local residents: “Unfortunately, there are no rules or laws in the temporarily occupied territory. Usually, it looks like this. Of course, first of all, they take and settle in the apartments of residents who left the temporary occupation, and whose apartments were watched by, for example, relatives, relatives or friends. These apartments were the first to fall under the so-called “nationalization” that the Russians announced there,” Fedorov said.

According to him, if Russians need a specific apartment or house, it does not matter to them whether someone lives there. They give a maximum of one day to pack things and move out.

“We know many such examples. So this is complete lawlessness. If they need it, it is definitely done. This nationalization and confiscation is clearly flourishing in the frontline cities and towns. When, for example, in Tokmak, residents are evicted en masse from their apartments, so that the next batch of racist cannon fodder, which comes to the occupied territory of Tokmak, will take these new so-called positions,” said the chairman of Melitopol.
