Russian troops attacked Odesa region: nine injured include children

As a result of another shelling by Russian troops in Odesa region on the night of August 16, nine civilians were injured. Significant destruction of civilian infrastructure was recorded, in particular residential buildings and a shopping center.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in Odesa district, a Russian strike led to the destruction of a shopping center building. A fire broke out at the site of the impact, and dry vegetation nearby also caught fire. Despite repeated air alarm signals, rescuers extinguished the fire and prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring facilities.

In addition, two private residential buildings were destroyed at another address as a result of the attack. Three civilian cars and a gas pipe were also damaged. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene of the incident, providing emergency psychological assistance to the affected residents.
