Russian troops attacked Sumy with drones: there is a victim and injured

On March 16, the Russians attacked Sumy with drones. Four civilians were injured. In addition, the Russians attacked a truck loaded with grain with a drone in the Sadivska community of the Sumy region, as a result of which the driver died.

“Sumy: Russians launched a targeted strike with a UAV on the carriageway of one of the streets in the Zarechny district of the city – previously, 4 people were injured,” the report said.

Rescuers were working at the site of the Russian attack.

And the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov, had previously reported three wounded.

“On March 16, the Russians carried out a targeted strike on the Sumy community. A drone hit the Zarechny district of Sumy – civilian cars were hit, two people were previously injured.

A two-story residential building was also damaged,” he said.

The head of the Sumy city military administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko, specified that three people were injured.

He noted that a strike drone was recorded in the central part of Sumy – the strike occurred at a crossroads in a busy traffic area.

Five cars were previously damaged.

As reported by the municipal enterprise “Electroavtotrans” of the Sumy City Council, traffic was restricted in the city after the Russian attack.

“Due to technical damage to the contact network, traffic towards the airport is limited,” the message says.

On March 16, Russians used a drone to attack a truck loaded with grain in the Sadivska community of Sumy region, killing the driver.

“Another loss in Sumy region. A 40-year-old man died in the Sadivska community. He came to load grain,” Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, wrote on social networks.

According to him, at that moment, the Russians aimed a drone at the truck cabin, where the driver was.

“After hitting it, it caught fire. Unfortunately, the man died,” Grigorov said.

The head of the regional military administration expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

In total, 36 settlements in Sumy region were under Russian attacks on March 15, two people were injured.

In the Velykpysarivska community, a 51-year-old woman was injured as a result of a Russian drone strike, and a 54-year-old woman was also injured.

In addition, a 35-year-old woman who was injured as a result of a drone strike in the Shostka community on March 14 sought medical attention.

The largest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The Russians used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.

In the Glukhiv community, non-residential buildings were damaged.

In the Shostka community, multi-apartment and private houses were damaged.

In the Bilopil community, non-residential premises and agricultural machinery were damaged, as well as a civilian infrastructure facility.

In the Velykpysarivska community, a private residential building was destroyed.

In the Sumy community, private residential buildings, outbuildings, a car, and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged.

21 people were evacuated from the border communities of the Sumy region on March 15.
