Russian troops check and forcefully impose citizenship on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine

The Russian military in the occupied territories of Ukraine is intensifying the process of checking Ukrainians and forcibly forcing them to acquire the citizenship of an enemy state.

This is evidenced by information from the Center of National Resistance.

According to the Center of National Resistance, the occupiers conducted repeated checks on the residents of Kakhovka in order to detect the presence of Russian passports. Despite the fact that the majority of Ukrainians do not show an urgent interest in obtaining Russian citizenship, the Russian authorities create conditions under which life without this document becomes impossible.

In addition, the occupiers collected biometric data of Ukrainians, and men were served with summonses to “clarify data” at fake military commissars.
