In Slavyansk, Donetsk region, a fire and rescue unit was damaged as a result of a Russian aircraft strike.
This was reported by the regional department of the State Emergency Service.
The Russian shelling damaged the building structures of the fire and rescue unit, in particular the roller entrance gates, the glazing of metal-plastic windows, the entrance doors and elements of the suspended ceiling.
There were no casualties, the equipment survived.
“This is far from an isolated case of targeted strikes on rescuers. Such actions pose a direct threat to the lives and health of those who help people every day and eliminate the consequences of Russian attacks. Despite the risks, emergency responders remain in place and continue to do their job,” the State Emergency Service of Donetsk region noted.
