Russian troops hit the thermal power plant in Sumy with guided air bombs, a teenager was injured in the region

On April 11, after 4 p.m., Russian troops attacked the city of Sumy with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, there are victims, including a minor.

This time, the Russian Federation attacked the city’s critical infrastructure – the local thermal power plant. This was reported in the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

All necessary services are working at the scene of the incident. Previously, the regional military administration was informed that there were no recorded casualties among the civilian population.

The Russians also shelled the Esman community of the Shostky district, previously with barrel artillery. As a result of the shelling, two people received injuries of varying degrees of severity and were hospitalized at the Glukhiv hospital.

Subsequently, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Sumy region reported that as a result of the recent shelling of the border communities, there are wounded, among whom is a minor. Prosecutors record the consequences of these events.

According to investigative materials, during the day of April 11, 2024, the Russians used methods of warfare prohibited by international law, shelling the civilian infrastructure of the border settlements of the Sumy region with artillery.

Around 12:00 p.m., the Esman community was fired upon, as a result of which a 30-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were wounded.

At 2:00 p.m., Russians attacked the Vorozhbyan community, where a 16-year-old boy and his 36-year-old mother were wounded. Vehicles, private homes and power lines were also damaged as a result of the shelling.

Prosecutors, together with other law enforcement agencies, record the consequences of shelling.
