On the night of March 5, 2024, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out artillery strikes on residential areas of the city of Kherson, and in the morning the Russians continued to search the regional center, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports.
Currently, we know of two injured civilians who were injured while in their homes. Civilian infrastructure was damaged – residential buildings, commercial buildings, vehicles.

The police record the consequences of Russian attacks on the right-bank part of the Kherson region. A civilian was injured and residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged.

The department’s post states that the Russian military used artillery and mortars, kamikaze drones, and dropped ammunition from unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of shelling, a civilian was injured, private and apartment buildings, an educational institution, vehicles, and a warehouse were damaged.
It is noted that the regional center, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Honcharne, Sadov, Priozerne and Prydniprovske were under fire in the Kherson district. On the territory of the Berislav district, the enemy attacked Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, and the administrative center itself. In Beryslav, a 55-year-old local resident was injured as a result of the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle. The man received a blast injury and shrapnel wounds. Honcharne was also attacked from a drone. As a result of the explosion of enemy ammunition, a private house was damaged.
The press service added that in Kherson, as a result of Russian shelling, an educational institution building, two high-rise buildings, a private house and a car were damaged. Also, after the arrival of Russian shells, two private houses and a car were damaged in Bilozerka, a warehouse in Zolotia Balka, and a private house in Priozerny.
Investigative and operative groups, forensic experts and explosives technicians, representatives of the state emergency service worked at the sites of the shelling. In total, investigators of the police of the Kherson region opened 12 criminal proceedings in the past day based on the facts of war crimes committed by the Russian army. Necessary investigative measures are being taken to properly document and investigate crimes.
Earlier it was reported that on March 3, a civilian was killed in Kherson Oblast as a result of Russian aggression. The Russians attacked residential buildings and educational institutions.
