At approximately 1:00 p.m. on September 16, Russian troops shelled the Korabelny district of Kherson with artillery.
This was reported on the Kherson Regional Military Administration website.
It is noted that an apartment building was hit. The building had damaged balconies and broken windows.
During the attack, employees of one of the structural units of the city council who were in a car came under fire. According to the Kherson City Military Administration, two men aged 27 and 39 were injured. Both suffered mine-explosive injuries and contusions. The injured were hospitalized and are currently undergoing additional examinations.
Around the same time, another resident of the Korabelny district was hit. A 32-year-old man was under fire right on the street. He was diagnosed with concussion, explosive and closed head injuries. He is currently in the hospital under medical supervision.
According to the Kherson City Military Administration, one of the shells hit a tree, which saved the apartment building from serious damage and possible casualties. There were many residents in the yard at the time, but only one needed medical attention.
After the shelling, social workers conducted a house-to-house tour and spoke with the owners of the damaged homes.
