Russian troops strike Odesa region, energy facility damaged

On the night of January 18, Russian troops struck with mortars in the south of Odesa region, as a result, of which a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility. This was reported by the head of the Odesа regional military administration, Oleg Kiper.

The production building and property of the enterprise were damaged. There were no injuries.

The State Emergency Service specified that rescuers quickly extinguished the fire at the energy facility. A passenger car was also damaged.

At night, Russia attacked Ukraine with 201 UAVs, 30 drones were hit in 15 places. Air defense neutralized 167 Russian drones, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

On January 17, Russia also attacked the energy sector of the Odesa region, and the regional military administration reported that the region’s critical infrastructure and life support facilities were operating normally.
