
At around 5 a.m. on April 15, Russians struck Zaporizhzhia. A 74-year-old kiosk saleswoman was killed. The shelling damaged a parking lot, a company, a bus stop, nearby residential buildings, and a kiosk. This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
As a result of the morning combined attack by Russians, five high-rise buildings in the Khortytskyi and Voznesenivskyi districts were damaged: windows were broken, balconies, facades, and roofs were damaged.
A vocational education institution was also damaged. Municipal workers are eliminating the consequences.
After the strikes, 46 residents turned to social services for help.
According to the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia region, rescuers extinguished a fire in a shopping kiosk at a public transport stop. Several vehicles and two garages were extinguished at other locations.
In addition, Zaporizhzhia residents heard explosions on the evening of April 14 – the Russians carried out an attack on an industrial infrastructure facility. A fire broke out at the site. Previously, there were no casualties.
According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office at 11:55, missiles and UAVs were flying into the city. The combined strike on Zaporizhzhia is being investigated as a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
At 13:03, specialists from the State Environmental Inspectorate conducted field inspections of the affected areas. During the inspections, the following were found: Khortytskyi district – littering of territories with debris from destruction on areas of over 990 m² and over 600 m²; Voznesenivskyi district – littering of territories on an area of over 300 m².
At 16:00, 151 people had already been registered whose homes were damaged as a result of the morning Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. These are residents whose homes were damaged by the blast wave.
At 17:35, damage was recorded to 21 high-rise buildings and a bus stop. 17 houses were damaged in Khortytskyi district, and 4 in Voznesenivskyi.
