Russians abduct man in temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region

Police are searching for witnesses to the illegal detention of a resident of Tokmak by Russian military personnel in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are establishing the circumstances of the illegal deprivation of liberty of a resident of temporarily occupied Tokmak, Polohivskyi district, Zaporizhzhia region — Mulika Yuriy Viktorovych, born on November 12, 1960.

According to the investigation, at the end of March 2023, the man was detained by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the territory of Tokmak. Since then, nothing is known about his fate — the whereabouts of Yuriy Mulika remain unknown.

Ukrainian police qualify this case as illegal deprivation of liberty of a civilian under occupation and are investigating it within the framework of criminal proceedings for a war crime. Law enforcement officers continue to collect evidence and document crimes committed by representatives of the occupation forces in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In this regard, the police appeal to potential witnesses or persons who have any information about the circumstances of the detention, possible deportation or place of detention of Yuriy Mulika, with a request to report it. Even minor details may be important for establishing the truth.
