Russians accused a Melitopol resident of blowing up three diesel locomotives and jailed him for 16 years

The Russians handed down yet another cruel sentence to a Melitopol citizen. The man was accused of a terrorist attack on the railway.

The Southern District Military Court has completed the proceedings against Maksym Vorobyov on charges of terrorism. The guy was sentenced to 16 years in prison for allegedly blowing up three locomotives on the territory of the Melitopol locomotive depot.

The prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation informed about this.

According to the materials of the case investigated by the FSB, in 2023 Maksym allegedly blew up three locomotives on the territory of the Melitopol locomotive depot of the state enterprise Melitopol Railway.

It is reported that Maksym Vorobyov allegedly joined the terrorist community and agreed to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. Later, he persuaded his acquaintance to join the same community. Together, they removed improvised explosive devices and their components from hiding places. After blowing up the locomotives, the defendant was detained.

The man entered into a pre-trial cooperation agreement and pleaded guilty.

The court sentenced him to 16 years of imprisonment, with the first three years to be served in the remaining prison – in a penal colony of strict regime. In addition, the man was fined 500,000 rubles.

Even the absence of a Russian passport did not make it clear to the Russians that they do not have the slightest right to judge a Ukrainian, but are only obliged to extradite him and hand him over to the Ukrainian authorities for trial. Well, naturally, there is nothing to judge him for, for all Ukrainians the guy is a hero and patriot of his country, who, risking his life, contributed to the liberation of the region from Russians.

However, the fake court in Melitopol issued another illegal sentence. Dmytro Shaynoha was sentenced to 12 years in prison with a sentence to be served in a high-security penitentiary.
