According to analysts at the Center for National Resistance, under the guise of investments and “development of regions,” the Kremlin is preparing a mass relocation of residents of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to Siberia and the Far East.
Russia has announced the launch of a large-scale “Siberia Development Program,” which was presented by Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu.
According to the Center for National Resistance, documents and official letters sent to local administrations, schools, hospitals, and municipal enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine contain requirements to “identify employees for long-term business trips” to the development regions.
Managers are being forced to form lists of employees “not burdened by family circumstances” — a criterion that, according to analysts, actually identifies people who are easier to deport without a strong public outcry.
The Center for National Resistance emphasizes that the rhetoric and methods of this “Program” are reminiscent of Soviet practices of organized population movements: first passportization and “business trips,” then state resettlement programs and a massive transformation of the demographic composition of regions. Experts warn that the result of such a course will not be the development of the regions, but the deepening of the humanitarian crisis and the assimilation of residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
