Nine people died as a result of a May 17 strike by Russians on a bus near Bilopillya, Sumy region.
This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov.
According to preliminary information, eight people were killed, five more were injured. “They will be immediately hospitalized in the hospital. A rescue operation is underway on the spot,” Grigorov emphasized.
As the head of the regional military administration noted, the Russians launched a strike with a Lancet UAV on a bus carrying civilians on the Bilopillya – Sumy route. The strike was carried out on the outskirts of the city of Bilopillya.
According to Grigorov, ambulances, rescuers from the State Emergency Service and the police are working at the scene.
Later, the national police reported 9 dead, 4 injured.
“Preliminarily, nine people were killed, four more were injured,” the report said.
