Russians attack Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs; fatalities and dozens injured reported

On October 5, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. Five people were killed and nearly 40 injured in the attack.

The Russians attacked Kharkiv with at least three guided aerial bombs. According to Mayor Terekhov, the attack caused destruction and casualties in the Slobidskyi and Kyivskyi districts. Specifically, aerial bombs damaged residential buildings in the Slobidskyi district, while a combat drone struck a gas station in the Kyivskyi district.

As of 5:46 PM, five fatalities have been confirmed. The bodies of five people were found under the rubble of a garment workshop.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 53 people were injured in the guided aerial bomb strike. Among them are three children: an 11-year-old girl in serious condition, a 15-year-old boy in moderate condition, and a 15-year-old girl suffering from an acute stress reaction.

People may still be trapped under the rubble. Law enforcement officers and rescue workers are operating at the scene.
