Russians attack power plant in Chernihiv region twice: repair team hit

A Russian drone attack on October 27 at 3:30 p.m. damaged a power plant in Chernihiv region and the repair team’s equipment. Tens of thousands of consumers were left without electricity.

This was reported by ChernihivOblenergo.

Damage to one of the important power supply facilities in Koryukiv district left tens of thousands of consumers in the region without electricity. Repair services went to the site, but some of the work had to be postponed, as a Russian reconnaissance drone had been circling nearby for a long time. When the security situation normalized and work began, the Russians launched combat drones to the same place.

“In such conditions, power engineers have recently had to work almost every day. The Russians do not give them the opportunity to approach the damaged power supply facilities, they inflict repeated blows simply during emergency and restoration work, and they hunt for their equipment,” the report says. Despite the shelling, the personnel managed to take cover, but the company car was damaged. The regional energy authority emphasized that in such conditions, Chernihiv power engineers have recently had to work almost every day. The Russians specifically inflict repeated blows during emergency and restoration work, and hunt for their equipment.
